Summary:
Salty Dog is a new 3Bd/4Ba townhouse with pretty and comfortable coastal decorating throughout. Ideal fit for a family that loves to vacation in style! This home has two living room areas; one sizable area on the main floor and a smaller Tv room on the first floor. This property is an painless 3 min. walk to the beach and close to the Ocean Front Grille and Tiki Bar. Centrally located to all things Carolina Beach: cycling, kayaking, fishing charters, hiking at the CB State Park and our famed boardwalks and fishing piers with great eateries and shopping!

The Space:
There is a murphy bed (this is a single bed for the 7th guest) in the first floor tv room; however, linens and towels ARE NOT supplied for this bed. Please bring your own linen if you plan on using this bed. This home is just one block from the beach. There is an outdoor shower and a modest fenced in back yard. The master bath has a incredible spa soaker tub.

Other Things to Note:
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everybody has their own preferences for these =) Please review our home rules prior to your stay

There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.

About the Area

Wilmington Beach, a neighborhood in Carolina Beach, is home to Salty Dog-a block from the beach. Ocean Front Park and Federal Point History Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting.

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.   • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
