  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1100 square feet

This impressive classic 1940's beach bungalow is just steps from the beach, stores & local dining! A comfortable, cozy "at home" feeling with warm earthy tones, wood floors and cedar paneling accent this top floor suite's 3 bedrooms, one bath, separate living room, kitchen, and dining area. Feel like you are up in an aerie and savor sea breezes on the front porch in rocking chairs with and view of the ocean a half-block away. This single floor suite accommodates smaller groups of up to six adults but it can be combined with the main floor- "Captain's Quarters" below, as a whole home rental for bigger family gatherings, via a central spiral stairway. Go to this link to see calendar for the whole home; http://www.vrbo.com/icalendar/d0dcf1ddc9124f9db688fd506b97e9bd.ics
The door to this stairway will remain locked if rented individually. "Captain's Quarters" is named for the nautical feel evoked by the rope-wrapped central spiral stair. Please see our separate listing on Vacation Rental By Owner-2314292. Each floor is 1100 square feet. The porch is 200square feet. Originally constructed in 1920 this property has been refreshed numerous times but still retains the warm feel of a Classic bungalow.

Tips to get the best rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summer time is high season in Wrightsville Beach. Booking your Brunswick area vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best rental in Wrightsville Beach:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Top Floor Suite of classic 1940's Beach Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
