Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Brunswick area rental home & When to go:

  • Summer is high season in Holden Beach. To find the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Start by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Hobbs Realty - \"Sea Nymph\" is an oceanfront, pet-friendly home with a large, grassy yard and fenced-in area! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area destination you long to visit, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
