How to get the best Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in the Brunswick area area. Book your Brunswick area rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Waterfront Home on Intracoastal with Private Boat Dock, Screened Porch, WiFi, AC has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you simply love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More considerations:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
