A lot of newcomers are a little wary when they first arrive at Silver Hill Grill. Located in Supply, NC – which is just inland from Holden Beach – and found within a simple, one-story building that’s bordered by local homes, this restaurant doesn’t look like an acclaimed eatery for seafood lovers. But patrons who take the plunge will be wonderfully surprised with a variety of fresh seafood fare, friendly southern hospitality, and wonderfully budget-friendly prices. In business for more than 40 years, and family owned and operated, the Silver Hill Grill is the definition of a “Hidden Gem” in the Cape Fear region.
The menu is basic, but has lots of options, which range from BBQ sandwiches and burgers, to hot dogs, appetizers, and seafood platters. Newcomers will definitely want to start with the seafood options, which take up roughly half the menu, are served with fries, slaw, and hush puppies, and which come in both small and large portions. Featuring varying platters of shrimp, scallops, crabs, oysters, and fish, seafood fans will be in heaven with the array of combinations that are available. The bare-bones but friendly environment lets the seafood shine, and gives food lovers a fine introduction to southern comfort food on the Carolina coast.

But despite being an instrumental component to the island's very existence, and a protector against erosion and storms, Bald Head Woods serves a more visible role as a fun, outdoor destination for visitors to enjoy off the beach. A popular spot with bird watchers, hikers and nature fans alike, this rustic destination allows vacationers to easily step off the beaten path, and dive into Bald Head Island's natural landscape.
While it’s easy to spend a full vacation relaxing on the beach or on the golf course, visitors who spend some time off the sand or the greens will discover that the Brunswick Islands are brimming with enticing attractions. From the historic museums and lighthouses, to the casual fishing piers with island-wide ocean views, these are the “can’t miss” destinations for visitors who love a coastal adventure.
Our condo is freshly modernized and ready for the summer season! We kept our "beachy" colors but did significant upgrades to kitchen, living area, and bathrooms. This bright, colorful and decidedly "beachy" oceanfront condo is ideal for a family vacation or last-min. beach trip! Flat screen TV's in the living room and both bedrooms, as well as high speed, secure internet (not shared with the rest of the building). The Ocean Front master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a new Beautyrest bed, private full bath with rainwater shower and detachable hand-held wand, and access to the oceanfront balcony. There are 2 twin beds In the street-facing second bedroom with access to the full hall bathroom with tub/shower. These can also be converted to a king bed with a converter kit supplied. There is also a queen sleeper couch with upgraded Memory Foam bed in the living room should you need the additional bed space. The oceanfront balcony offers charming vistas (make sure to catch at least one sunrise on your stay). The kitchen is entirely equipped with everything you need for a week at the beach (and all appliances are brand new), with a Ninja Mega-Kitchen System blender, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and J. A. Henckels kitchen cutlery. But, if you'd rather not prepare, there are loads of eateries really close by. Some of our favorites are Kate's Pancake House, Havana's, Michaelangelo's Pizza, Pop's Diner, and of course, the famed Britt's Donuts. And the Veggie Wagon (just across US 421) is a real treat, offering farm-fresh veggies, newly baked baguettes, deli sandwiches, take-and-bake pizza's, fruit smoothies, and a pretty good selection of beer and wine. In addition to a great time on the beach, you have access to bicycle units just two blocks away (one of our family's favorite activities is to bicycle down to Fort Fisher and catch the ferry to Southport). The Carolina Beach Greenway is accessible at the lake which is just across the street. Here you will find a nice walking, running, cycling, or skating trail, peddle boat units, and there are family movies every Sunday nighttime. Two blocks away you will find the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, with stores, eateries, Britt's Donuts and an amusement park. Thursday nights there are fireworks from the boardwalk. See them there, or appreciate them from the beach or the deck of the condo. The unit has roomy covered parking that can accommodate two bigger sized cars or three smaller ones. We've been coming to Carolina Beach for over 20 years and have owned this unit since 2008. It's slow-paced and calming, a ideal location for a family wanting to relax or for a couple looking for a peaceful, charming hideaway. We appreciate spending time here, and we think you will too! Appreciate!
