Strategies to get the best rental experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick a perfectvacation home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. NEW LISTING! A Treasure to Sea (4-Bedroom Villa) has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Brunswick area destination you are enamored with, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
