Tips to get the optimal Brunswick area rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, try changing your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 1110 Lake Lure By The Sea by Atlantic Towers has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
