Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:

Finding the best value:

  • Summer months are high season in the Brunswick area area. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental in the Brunswick area area:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sea Horse Cottage 2.5 Bedroom BHI Creek Front - Marsh front Expansive vi has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
