Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Hobbs Realty - Fall in love in this beautiful oceanfront home with a private pool. \"That's A Moray!\" has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
