Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-aligned beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The home lies directly in the middle of both Carolina and Kure Beaches and is a long walk or short drive from downtown Carolina Beach and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, eateries, and local stores of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or event boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island.

You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is close by, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, and FIREWORKS every Thursday! We welcome you to sit back, relax and appreciate yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

As you approach your mission: “Operation Sandcastle”, you’ll notice an abundance of outdoor covered space providing ample storage and parking for all your personal beach nick-knacks, bicycles, trikes, and belongings resulting in the ideal space to fit your entire extended family with ease! As if crisp morning breezes, pelicans floating in tandem overhead, all while residing less than three blocks away from Wilmington Beach wasn’t enough, the owner’s left a Weber charcoal grille, and countless misc. beach toys and surprises for the “little one’s” throughout.

After ascending the steps up to your get-a-way, the entry to this 4 bedroom/3 bath townhome opens into a unique, welcoming, and exceptional space! The sizable and freshly remodeled open floor plan comes into full view just as you hop up the steps. The floor is comprised of an expanse of entertainment areas, a modern Chef’s kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, family room, and more! Modern stainless appliances and a kitchen chocked full of amenities give you the ability and access to dine both IN and OUT like royalty.

A few of the amenities supplied by your Owners include courtesy enormous Aussie shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each bath as well. Also, a roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT in the kitchen, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, Cafe' Bustelo, Tazo Tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen. Additional items are likely on sight as well!

An eclectic mix of family room furnishings is meant to provide something different for each of our guests Variety is EVERYTHING! Natural light just pervades from every angle. There’s a huge screen intelligent TV, a private East facing private deck space providing both interior AND exterior dining options to suit the weather, mood, or ambience. Good conversation is a MUST!

The owner’s LOVE a good “game nighttime!”. There is ABSOLUTELY NO shortage of board games, trivia, puzzles, and more to discover. Sometimes developing an allergy to technology when on Vacay is the BEST medicine! Continuing West though the kitchen, you happen upon Bedroom #1 with a Queen-size bed, dedicated workspace, with Full bathroom access to bathroom #1(shower & tub combo) just steps away.

As you make your way upstairs, you are immediately met with an expanse of striking expansive vistas through your East facing French doors leading out past a personal calming area and onto your balcony. Your private upsized balcony comes complete with Sea Salt breezes at no added cost, access to a tranquility, and a respite that will simply melt your cares into the sun-kissed seascape before you. The master bedroom (Bedroom #2) is finished with a King size bed, ensuite bathroom (#2) with a vanity and standup shower stall.

Heading Westward down the hallway immediately on your left resides Bedroom #3, the “kids’ room” with a Twin + Full bunk bed, chest of drawers, and rocking chair. GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorbikes, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple cars, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

•ALL homes are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.

•There is a $100 non-returnable pet fee for one approved pup and a $50 pup fee for a second. There is a two-dog max. unless an exception is granted. Cats are not allowed on premises.

•April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the Carolina Beach during restricted hours of BEFORE 9:00 am and AFTER 5:00 pm. On the extreme North End of Carolina Beach, dogs are allowed on leash 24/7 on leash. In Kure Beach, dogs are NOT allowed at any juncture. Fort Fisher accepts dogs on leash on the beach 24/7. Please be responsible to follow all town pet ordinances and have an AWESOME time!

Pup rules for Pet Friendly homes

•Any interactions between your furry son or daughter and other neighbors (animal OR human) are completely at your discretion (and *liability). Please be a responsible pup owner and protect yourselves and others as may be necessary!
•Pups are NEVER allowed on any furnishings. (*Single biggest added charge from the cleaners/owners post stay.)
•Be sure to use a broom or vacuum if your buddy sheds in excess.
•Do NOT let your pup bark excessively in any multi-unit environment.
•ALWAYS pick up after your pup IMMEDIATELY after the potty sesh.
•If maintenance needs to visit, ENSURE your pup is put in their respective kennels. This coincides with rule #1.
•If the home/apartment has an outdoor shower, please use it to rinse off your pup after a day of fun. Not only will that help to prevent a potential plumbing call (typically pup hair: that would fall to the guest to remedy $), but a clean pup is much less likely to result in a post stay hygiene charge (sand+salt+stinky can =$).

*As a furry Dad myself, I understand how hard it can be to find Pup Friendly accommodations! Please help us to keep our owners happy and protect the rental from damage and unnecessary wear & tear so we can always be here to support our guests with sandy paws and salty noses!

•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-min. travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT returnable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.

Tips and Tricks to get the best Brunswick area rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. \"Boma Beach House\"! Celebrate Pleasure life Island in Style by the SEA! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
