Appreciate this comfortable, yet sizable, condo with an ocean view in the heart of Oak Island. It's a great place to relax and also be in very close proximity to the beach, stores, eateries and grocery stores all at the same time. You are likely to not even need to drive unless you want to venture further out to some of the other great attractions the island and close by towns have to offer. The Ocean Crest Pier is also very close by (just a short drive up E. Beach Drive to the right). Come and get away from it all. The hustle and bustle of our little family-aligned island town is nowhere near as crazy as the big city. Here, you're just a short "Ocean Walk" away from total relaxation with still a bit of convenience.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this condo is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Smith Island Museum of History and Franklin Square Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Jet skiing, kayaking, and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.

Strategies to get the best Oak Island vacation rental experience:

When to book a Brunswick area rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. Booking your Brunswick area vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful & Spacious 4Bdrm\/4Bath Condo w\/ Ocean Views, Elevator, Pool, Sleeps 13 has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
