Rental home booking tips and tricks:
Cost saving strategies:
- To find the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have coupons for local tours and attractions.
How to choose the best rental in the Brunswick area area:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Hobbs Realty - Oceanfront Home w\/Private Heated Pool and Offers Earlly Check-In\/Late Check-Out! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you long to visit, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
