Welcome to the Timbercreek 6A, also known as “THE VIEW”. TC 6A is a freshly remodeled condominium, three-bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, on Bald Head Island. Many years ago, a long time Bald Head Islander told us that we had the most spectacular marsh view on the Island. We’ve now owned our place at Timbercreek for over twenty five years and have never seen a better view. From our top floor screen porch, looking west, you see the BHI Marina, Cape Fear River and Southport. Looking east, down the tidal marsh, you see the homes on East Beach that face the Atlantic. Ahead of you, looking north, is a impressive panorama …… 10,000 acres of tidal marsh, the meandering Bald Head Creek, Middle Island and other modest pine islands. When we first came to Bald Head Island in 1989, we rented at Timbercreek. Sitting on the screen porch that first evening, we witnessed a handsome full moon rising over the marsh. This is magical, we thought. The next day, we learned that Timbercreek 6A was for sale. The rest is history. It’s still magical.Timbercreek 6A was modernized in 2010 – 2011. The new kitchen with granite counters is a thing of beauty. The two bathrooms were completely redone with granite-topped vanities and tiled showers. There are new interior doors, new lighting, new rugs, a new dining table and a new 50-inch T.V. that fits generously in the new bespoke cabinet. Or just put your feet up and relax. There are no cars on Bald Head Island. You park your car at the ferry lot on the mainland and use a golf cart while on the Island. Our screen porch is one of the most peaceful places on the Island. We regularly see egrets, ibis, osprey, herons and other shore birds as well as the occasional painted bunting or dolphins in the creek. This property is a impressive townhouse in the North end, within walking distance of the pier, and features an open concept main level with plenty of natural light. Upstairs, both full bathrooms are freshly painted with new tile floors, toilets, and vanities. There is a deck off both the living room and master bedroom, ideal for sitting with a glass of wine at nighttime and listening to the waves.Walking up to the main living level will bring you to the kitchen, living room, and dining area. There is a laundry room on the main level that also has a half bath within it. Upstairs, both bedrooms have a full attached bathroom.The second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed with a twin trundle.There is parking for two cars - one in the garage, and one in the driveway. There are also numerous guest spots for the building that are first come first served, so availability of additional parking is not a guarantee.We supply enough paper products and dish soap to get your trip started. The back covered porch overlooks the pool and does have a safety gate to protect the little ones from the steps and the pool. Unwind and savor. The Kitchen with an ocean view makes cooking & clean up simple. it is completely outfitted with everything you should need including a crock pot, blender, drip coffee pot, Keurig Kcup maker, toaster, plenty of dishes, glasses, flat wear, cooking tools, pots and pans etc., some basic spices. Kitchen towels.The Living Area is very open and cavernous and family friendly. It actually has two 65” Intelligent TV’s (Great for the sports fans or gamers). Dining table seats 6 and the island 3 or 4. There is also a dining table on the front porch seating 6. Appreciate the view from inside or outside. You may even get a chance to view a rocket launch over the ocean from the front porch. And sometimes maybe a deer or two will show up. There is covered parking under the home.
