Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. Our condo is freshly modernized and ready for the summer season! We kept our "beachy" colors but did significant upgrades to kitchen, living area, and bathrooms. This bright, colorful and decidedly "beachy" oceanfront condo is ideal for a family vacation or last-min. beach trip! Flat screen TV's in the living room and both bedrooms, as well as high speed, secure internet (not shared with the rest of the building). The Ocean Front master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a new Beautyrest bed, private full bath with rainwater shower and detachable hand-held wand, and access to the oceanfront balcony. There are 2 twin beds In the street-facing second bedroom with access to the full hall bathroom with tub/shower. These can also be converted to a king bed with a converter kit supplied. There is also a queen sleeper couch with upgraded Memory Foam bed in the living room should you need the additional bed space. The oceanfront balcony offers charming vistas (make sure to catch at least one sunrise on your stay). The kitchen is entirely equipped with everything you need for a week at the beach (and all appliances are brand new), with a Ninja Mega-Kitchen System blender, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and J. A. Henckels kitchen cutlery. But, if you'd rather not prepare, there are loads of eateries really close by. Some of our favorites are Kate's Pancake House, Havana's, Michaelangelo's Pizza, Pop's Diner, and of course, the famed Britt's Donuts. And the Veggie Wagon (just across US 421) is a real treat, offering farm-fresh veggies, newly baked baguettes, deli sandwiches, take-and-bake pizza's, fruit smoothies, and a pretty good selection of beer and wine. In addition to a great time on the beach, you have access to bicycle units just two blocks away (one of our family's favorite activities is to bicycle down to Fort Fisher and catch the ferry to Southport). The Carolina Beach Greenway is accessible at the lake which is just across the street. Here you will find a nice walking, running, cycling, or skating trail, peddle boat units, and there are family movies every Sunday nighttime. Two blocks away you will find the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, with stores, eateries, Britt's Donuts and an amusement park. Thursday nights there are fireworks from the boardwalk. See them there, or appreciate them from the beach or the deck of the condo. The unit has roomy covered parking that can accommodate two bigger sized cars or three smaller ones. We've been coming to Carolina Beach for over 20 years and have owned this unit since 2008. It's slow-paced and calming, a ideal location for a family wanting to relax or for a couple looking for a peaceful, charming hideaway. We appreciate spending time here, and we think you will too! Appreciate!

Airlie Gardens

Arlie Gardens is home to a stunning collection of natural gardens and eye-catching artworks which continually impresses visitors to the Wilmington area. Established in 1901, and originally used as a private garden for the wealthy Pembroke family, the garden has since been transformed into a public attraction that’s dotted with thousands of camellias, magnolias, wisteria, azaleas, and other southern blooms that thrive in the warm coastal climate. The azaleas are arguably the star of the show, as there are more than 100,000 red, white, and magenta hued-azaleas to admire.

Southport Marina

Travelers by sea in search of an accommodating marina with plenty of access to the local coastal North Carolina sites will feel right at home at the Southport Marina. This destination is a worthy spot to drop anchor, as not only is the marina itself one of the highest rated marinas in the region, but the locale along Cottage Creek, just a block or two away from the heart of Downtown Southport, is pretty hard to beat.

Beau Rivage Golf & Resort

Enjoy the best activities that Cape Fear region has to offer – from sunning at the local beaches to sneaking in a quick 18 holes – with a visit to the Beau Rivage Golf & Resort. Vacationers can be reasonably close to the top attractions of the Port City, but enjoy a locale that’s perched on the oceanfront, with a stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Wrightsville Beach. Located just a few miles away from some of Wilmington’s top attractions, like Arlie Gardens, this beachfront resort is the perfect place to launch a Cape Fear area-wide vacation that revolves around the breezy life at the beach.

The Oceanic is the only oceanfront restaurant and pier on Wrightsville Beach, and as such, is a very popular spot for semi-casual lunches, refined dinners, and massive special events with an Atlantic backdrop. Attached to the Crystal Pier, which provides plenty of outdoor seating as well as a killer setting for seasonal live music, the Oceanic is a popular destination for visitors who simply can’t get enough of the beach.

Sample decadent Italian cuisine in a beautifully ornate atmosphere with a visit to Osteria Cicchetti. This classic but slightly modern bistro has a wonderful selection of Italian specialties that are sure to appease any hankering for decadent global cuisine.

Wilmington visitors can enjoy a visit to one of the oldest peanut plantations in the country with an easy drive to the Poplar Grove Plantation.
