"Suite Caroline” is a 2nd floor comfortable condo that's just steps from our sandy shores, a short walk to downtown CB, and all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!
Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. Because we are in fact a true island, our "max. capacity" and restricted parking options will always limit the number of visitors who can both rent on and visit our Island simultaneously! Although always relative, this provides a bit more elbow room and open space than average for those looking for more “distancing” and privacy than some bigger public beaches. It’s a family-aligned beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!
The suite is in the heart of Carolina Beach and walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, eateries, and local stores of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or event boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is close by, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s.
These suites are a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world appeal, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everybody! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while visiting with us on our Island!
The entry to this 2 bedroom/2 bath suite opens up into a sizable, freshly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and kitchen. Courtesy organic soap and shampoo are left in the bathroom of each suite as well as a (1) starter roll of TP, a (1) garbage bag, dish soap, and a sponge in each kitchen.
There's ONE QUEEN bed, ONE TWIN + TWIN bunk, and ONE QUEEN pullout on site because we want all of our guests to be cozy when it comes time to recharge.
There are multiple Intelligent WIFI TV's along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and appreciate some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Bring a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or other such casting device if looking to ensure all of the tech amenities from home are available during your stay!
We equip each suite with its own books, games, and misc. accessories to help cover the basis for our guests to savor themselves in rain or shine. Sometimes however, these items are removed from the suite and not replaced and we do not realize it (tsk tsk!). If you notice something we’ve bragged about missing please let us know!
The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a respective deck, patio, or balcony. Each suite can vary slightly in archetype but what’s private for each guest or is a common area for all to share IS conveniently recognizable.
PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (1) ONE un-assigned parking space (use your parking pass to avoid a TOW). A $200 replacement fee will be assessed by the HOA if the pass isn't left in your suite at departure. Any additional community parking spaces would have availability on a first come first serve basis.
•Closest BEACH access: Hamlet Public Beach Access (Hamlet Ave).
I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)
Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island.
The building itself is three blocks from the nearest beach access. The property is on the fringe of down town Carolina Beach with its stores, activities and dining and is equidistant to the smaller, but just as striking Down Town Kure Beach. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday nighttime, Movies at the lake each Sunday nighttime, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning. Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and visitors all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and ambiance. We really have an extraordinary community!
Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more calming and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!
There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has a number of vendors (such as Pleasure Island Units @ 2 N Lake Park Blvd Carolina Beach NC 28428 (golf carts) and Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 107 Charlotte ave Carolina Beach NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!
After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair units, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog Yoga, Beachside Express Services, Amy’s Rise N Shine, and Griffin Cleaning and linens. Our partners support guests of Salt Water Real Estate with the highest caliber of local services for extremely competitive and oft discounted pricing. They all contribute to the “Salt Water” experience and we <3 them for it!
Linens (sheets, bath towels, beach towels, wash cloths, floor towels, pillowcases, etc.) along with pillows and a summer comforter ARE included in your suite rental! Prior to departure, please assist our linen team by beginning a load before hitting to road!

Carolina Beach
•The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COM-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking costs restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking tons and on-street parking spaces.

Kure Beach
Parking is enforced March 15 – Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking rates are $5 per hour. Visitors may purchase a day pass for $20, weekly pass for $100 or full season pass for $225.
GOLF CARTS
•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorbikes, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple cars, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.
•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.
•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-min. travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT returnable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised.

Located in Carolina Beach, this condo is near the beach. Carolina Beach Boardwalk is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are also worth visiting.
