How to get the best rental home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Wilmington. To get the best value, shift your family's Brunswick area trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best vacation rental in Wilmington:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Walk downtown from this beautiful 1850 Antebellum home has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
