Booking the best Brunswick area rental home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Oak Island. To book the largest rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Turtle Cove: Family-friendly Condo within Steps of Pool. Easy Walk to Beach and has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area destination you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
