Tips to get the optimal Brunswick area rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Brunswick area trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking the perfectrental home:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. “THIS IS US” – NEWLY RENOVATED 5BD\/4BA HOUSE has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area destination you crave, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

During your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
