Our top Vacation rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best value, shift your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to select the best vacation home in the Brunswick area area:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Station One 6F - a beautifully updated 2 bedroom condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
