Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summer is high season in the Brunswick area area. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by selecting a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Station One - 8I From - Oceanfront condo with community pool, tennis, beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
