Tricks and tips to get the perfect Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefect Brunswick area rental home:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Shore to Please Beachfront on the Boardwalk! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
