Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:

When to book a Brunswick area rental & When to go:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best vacation rental in the Brunswick area area:

  • Choose vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Cottage Breeze: Recently renovated home within walking distance to the beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Additional considerations:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
