Tricks and tips to get the perfect Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Brunswick area restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick your Brunswick area rental:

  • Start by having your group commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean view, beautiful backyard pool and less than a 2 minute walk to the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
