Tips for getting the perfect Carolina Beach rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose the right Brunswick area rental home:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 0611 Endless Horizon by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
