Tips to get the best Ocean Isle Beach rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To book the best rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Brunswick area attractions and restaurants.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. NEW LISTING- -CottageVacations4u \"Keepin It Reel\" canal home-on the water-close to beach and town has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
