Strategies for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Brunswick area rental home:

  • Start by having your family choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Luxury Condo w Ocean View 2 Blocks from Boardwalk has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
