Strategies for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Brunswick area vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Lava Bungalow - Coastal Condo with Easy Access to Beach, Restaurants and Local S has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area attraction you crave, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
