Tips to get the optimal Brunswick area rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Carolina Beach. To get the largest rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • First, have your family select date ranges and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. High End Luxury Ocean Front Living, Roof Top Deck and Elevator! has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area beach you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
