Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing your prefectvacation home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Great family house! Great beach access and ocean views! Newly renovated! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
