Secluded under a canopy of live oaks, OAKS is your ideal hideaway with simple access to Bald Head Island’s peaceful South beach. When there’s surf, you’ll hear the waves rolling in as you sit on the deck.

Cozy 4 + bedroom 3 1/2 bath home in the maritime forest with tons of open space for gathering, walls of windows for bird watching through the trees and lagoon vistas with the golf course in the distance. You’ll feel tucked away, one with nature; a part of the true essence and beauty of Bald Head Island. Savor our family games and puzzles or curl up window-side with a good read. 

There’s ample desk space and good wifi in case you and your family are making it a work and school home away from home. End your day with a calming walk along the beach and appreciate the striking sunsets!!!

Home offers over 2900 square feet on three levels with 4 + bedrooms, 3 zones of new A/C to spread out comfortably and savor.

The upper level suite is all yours! The bedroom has a king size bed and private balcony. There is a enormous private sitting area with desk and a sky-lit bathroom with huge shower and double sink.

Main level floor has walls of windows with open living room/ dining room/ kitchen/ sitting area offering handsome vistas from every angle. The kitchen comes well equipped with new Subzero refrigerator, gas stove, mixers, crock pot, magic bulet blender, drip coffee/tea combo maker, Nespresso. (Nespresso takes Vertuoline pods). There are two bedrooms tucked away from the living/dining space on this level (each with queen sized bed) that share a jack-and-jill full bathroom. There is also a 1/2 bath with washer/dryer. This main level has a sizable deck with Weber gas grille and plenty of outdoor seating.

On the ground floor, the 4th bedroom (queen sized bed) has a sliding glass door with private porch/sitting area. The other lower level room has twin bunk beds (low for safety with modest kids). There is also a full bath on this level.

House rental includes our (2) four passenger golf carts, 6 beach bicycles and two kid's bicycles. There are also body boards, beach chairs, beach towels and kids's toys for beach entertainment. There is an outside shower for rinsing after a day in the sand and surf.

The home is centrally located with only a short 5 min. bicycle or golf cart ride to the beach or market and stores. This is a quality bespoke constructed Tellus architectural modern home. Wood / tile floors and windows throughout make it ideal for beach living.

Our home rents from Sunday 4pm to Sunday 10am during the summer season. Flexible other times of the year.
We have a golf membership to the Bald Head Island Club so that our guests can purchase an optional temporary membership for your stay. This provides access to the golf course, BHI club pools, playground, tennis, croquet, exercise center and club eateries for dining. Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is next to a golf course and by the sea. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding your best deal:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.   • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
