Savor the sand between your toes, gorgeous sunsets, and impressive beaches of Oak Island while appreciating our cavernous, open floor-plan 5 bedroom home. 3 bedrooms are on first floor with 2 full baths, and a enormous screened-in porch ideal for enjoying your morning coffee. Upstairs is another bedroom, full bath, and comfortable loft with 4 constructed-in bunkbeds and two giant bean bag chairs - the ideal hang-out area for the kids! Sleeps 14 and pet friendly (dogs only).
The home is located on a peaceful, peaceful street, just 0.5 miles from the beach with tons of parking at the public beach access. It is a half a block from the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), with a public pier just 0.2 miles away, and a boat ramp just 0.3 miles away. Minutes from Publix, Food Lion, beach stores, and multiple eateries (including the famed BBQ House and Scoops ice cream and donut shop, which are within walking distance).
The completely-outfitted kitchen includes a Kitchen Aid mixer, huge crockpot, electric griddle, waffle maker, tons of serving bowls, all the basic spices, and a coffee maker - making cooking a breeze! Other amenities include a sizable pantry, charcoal grille in the backyard, TV in every room, washer and dryer, central HVAC, a 2nd refrigerator/freezer, and additional coolers in the garage. Bikes, beach toys, a beach buggy, and cornhole are available for guest use. The outdoor shower is ideal for fast clean-ups after a day at the beach.
All beds have comforters, bed pads, and pillows. Bed linens are included in a clean packet on your bed along with a bath towel and washcloth for each guest. Please bring your own beach towels.
About the Area
Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Smith Island Museum of History and Franklin Square Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum. Traveling with kids? Consider Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
