Tips for getting the best vacation home experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- To find the largest rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Brunswick area attractions.
- In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Perfect Golf Getaway
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
Have a great stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
