How to book the best Holden Beach vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Brunswick area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and choose your prefect Brunswick area rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Fishing\/ Beach Getaway has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
