Tricks and tips to get the best Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Brunswick area rental:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Experience Ocean and Pier Views at this Modern Luxury Beach House Unit A upper l has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
