Brunswick area rental home booking tips and tricks:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking your prefect Brunswick area vacation home:

  • To start, have your family decide on dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. DR 2409 – Enjoy the pool, tennis and the beach from this oceanfront condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
