Tips for getting the perfect Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. To book the best rental home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Brunswick area restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Finding the best vacation home:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Cordgrass Bay 2315-E has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is right for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
