How to book the best rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Front Property- New Upgraded Furnishings- Private Beach Access sleeps 6 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
