Summary:
Welcome to our Sea Breeze Bungalow - your ideal beach getaway on Oak Island! Our appealing 3-bedroom unit is charmingly located just a short walk away from the pristine shores, offering you the ultimate coastal hideaway. One of the standout features of our unit is its proximity to the island's spectacular walkover bridging the intercostal waterway. Our location is just mins. away from all of Oak Island's stores, dining, and attractions. Visit all Oak Island has to offer, or just sit back and relax!

The Space:
This is a comfortable duplex with two queen beds and a twin over full bunk that has a twin trundle bed underneath - ideal for families, friend groups, or even a couple's hideaway. All rooms are equipped with a intelligent TV for your enjoyment. In the main living area, you will find cozy seating, a 55" intelligent TV, and a high-top dining table. In the bathroom, you have a washer and dryer at your disposal as well as towels, basic toiletries, and an iron, steamer, and ironing board. Outside you may savor our outdoor dining set and outdoor shower to rinse off after a long day at the beach.

Guest Access:
You will have full access to your side of the duplex with your own private patio, outdoor shower, and assigned parking spaces.

The Neighborhood:
Located on the southern end of North Carolina’s beautiful coastline, the Town of Oak Island encompasses nearly 20 square miles; offering 10 miles of beachfront, along the 12-mile-long island from which the Town derives its name. The island itself is marked by the Atlantic Ocean to the south, and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the north. With roughly 8,400 residents year-round, the Town features a summertime population that swells to nearly 50,000 visitors and seasonal residents alike. However, the Town works hard at successfully maintaining a balance of its bustling, vibrant tourism, with the traditional, peaceful appeal of a modest southern town.

As one of North Carolina’s only barrier islands that face directly south, beachgoers can appreciate impressive vistas of both sunrise and sunset over the ocean, all from the same stretch of sand.

In addition, Oak Island provides amenities far beyond the beach itself; such as boating, fishing, kayaking, golf, fine and casual dining, established retail and modest local shopping, boutique hotels, two fishing piers, and a robust Town recreation program … all watched over faithfully by the 63-year-old Oak Island Lighthouse. Consistently ranked as one of the best beach towns in North Carolina, as well as throughout the southeastern United States, the Town of Oak Island uniquely offers the simple luxuries of a tourists’ escape, with the nostalgic comfort of hometown familiarity.

Interaction with Guests:
We live just a short drive away so don't hesitate to reach out, should you need anything!

Finding the best Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Brunswick area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the best Brunswick area rental:

  • To start, have your group agree to dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Coastal 3BD Bungalow One Block from Scenic Walkway has 4 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
