206 Woody Hewett. Pet Friendly (with pet fee). Updated vintage 1930s beach bungalow, one street back from ocean, within steps of main public access. Premier location: walk to Boardwalk, lake (farmers market and outdoor movies), and eateries. Watch fireworks from the cavernous porch with hammock. One room with California king bed, one room with a full bed and twin with trundle, additional rollaway cot, and one room with queen bed. Wi-Fi. ROKU (no cable/local channels only). Washer/dryer. Outdoor rec room and shower. Gas grille. 2 bicycles for renters use.

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
