Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:

Finding the best rental value:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Brunswick area vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Second floor condo, 3 community pools! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If not, email the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
