Our top Brunswick area rental home tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the best rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Canal with Boat Slip, 4-bedroom retreat in Ocean Isle Beach, quick walk to beach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
