MAJOR REMODEL 2021. New floors, new kitchen, new baths. If you’re looking for a calming vacation hideaway in a put-your-feet-up-on-the-coffee-table kind of a place, then this is it! Family constructed and owned for over 45 years, these walls have seen a lot of “happy” over the years. With 4 generously appointed bedrooms and 3 baths, there is room for your family to spread out. The huge eat-in kitchen, with a farmhouse table for eating or playing games, and pots and pans needed to put together those vacation favorites. The dock on the canal behind the home provides yet another spot for hanging out and grabbing a few rays -- in case you don’t feel like walking out to the striking, flat Sunset Beach which awaits you and the gang just at the head of the street. A downstairs apartment will please those seeking a little separation from the group (or ones not in favor of stairs!). Savor two decks one upstairs and a covered deck downstairs. The same folks who have been coming back year after year will attest: This is one home-away-from-home destination you don’t want to miss.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

When to book a Brunswick area rental & When to go:

  • Booking your Brunswick area vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Canal Home with private dock, kayaks and bikes included has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area beach you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
