Ocean Isle Beach rental home tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:

  • Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Canal home with access to the Intracoastal Waterway only steps from the beach! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
