Tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Brunswick area area. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best rental home in the Brunswick area area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Brand New Construction short walk to the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If not, contact the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
