Getting the best rental home experience:

When to reserve a Brunswick area rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Start by having your family select the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Battleship Vista - Parking has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
