Booking the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best rental home:
- Start by having your family decide on vacation dates and a budget.
- Steps to the Pool + Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
