Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Booking your Brunswick area vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Brunswick area vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 222 Pelican's Play E by Sunset Vacations has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
