Tricks and tips to get the perfect Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your Brunswick area rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick the right Brunswick area rental:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Pet Friendly Home - On the Marsh - Short Walk to Beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
