Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

When to visit Wrightsville Beach & When to book:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • To book the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the best Brunswick area vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Water View Cottage - A whimsical 2br sound view home on Harbor Island! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
