Tips for getting the perfect Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your family decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Tide Down - Classic 4 bedroom beach house with wrap around porch has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area destination you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. text the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
